Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Shreveport la
917 PM CST Wednesday Nov 19 2008

Discussion...

Another clear and cool evening...although not as cold as this time
yesterday. Southerly wind was helping to hold temperatures in the
50s most locations. Readings should fall off later...with mostly 40s
for overnight lows. Surface front currently across central Oklahoma
not expected to reach the northern zones of the County Warning Area until around
sunrise and colder air will be lagging behind the front. Should be a
large range of temperatures Thursday across the area...as the front is not
expected to reach southern zones until at least middle afternoon.

No changes to forecast this time.

&&

Aviation...

00z kshv radiosonde observation shows very dry air mass in place...under northwest flow aloft.
Dry air will be maintained by passage of a cold front beginning 12z
Thursday...currently over OK/AR. Latest NAM soundings indicate
convective temperatures won't be reached Thursday afternoon...but scattered high
clouds will be possible. Also...some MVFR fog may develop overnight
at kmlu/klfk near sunrise. Otherwise...no aviation concerns.
