Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service New Orleans la

Aviation...
areas of fog have remained very minimal except at gpt where visible
has fluctuated between IFR and VFR. With patchy fog across the
area...brief MVFR/IFR visible will also be possible at mcb and btr
this morning. Variable winds will gradually become westerly and then
north/northwest today this evening as a cold front sweeps through the
region. Winds behind the boundary will increase to over 10 kts
with gusts approaching 20 kts...especially at msy. High clouds should
move in this afternoon and expect increasing low to middle level
clouds at terminals tomorrow morning behind the front. VFR
conditions will dominate through the period.
