Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Grand Forks ND
830 PM CST Thursday Nov 20 2008

Discussion...forecast challenge for update concerns temperatures.
Surface ridge axis oriented along a dvl-jms line. Temperatures over
snow pack around zero and will have several more hours before return
flow kicks in which should level off temperatures. Farther east back
edge of SC cloud deck along a bwp-fse-Rox line and should clear forecast area
by midnight. Ridge axis will be over far eastern forecast area by morning for
full night of cooling. Only thing keeping temperatures from really
bottoming out will be lack of snow cover and gradual return flow.
With temperatures running below the curve will need to drop minimums a
few more degrees. Will also make adjustments to sky cover allowing
for quicker clearing. Rm

&&

Aviation...MVFR ceilings will continue to shift east overnight and
should clear all but far southeast forecast area by midnight. Remainder will be sky clear.
