Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
A coastal trough will remain positioned right along the coast line...extending from near Port Aransas south along the deep south Texas shores. This will lead to highly variable wind speed and direction near the coast with a north to northeast wind across the bays and a moderate east flow on the other side of the trough in the open Gulf waters. The trough will also provide a chance of showers today through Sunday as it slowly weakens. Onshore flow will persist into Monday...then become offshore briefly Monday night as a weak cold front enters the coastal waters. Onshore flow will resume Tuesday and continue through Wednesday as the front washes out and low pressure develops over the Texas Panhandle.
