| Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters A vigorous upper level storm system will move across the region this evening. This system will interact with abundant moisture to produce widespread light showers and isolated thunderstorms over the coastal waters. A strong surface low pressure area in south Texas responsible for the strong northeast wind flow will move into the Gulf of Mexico this evening. A strong offshore flow will develop in its wake tonight which will persist through Saturday morning. The offshore flow will decrease Saturday afternoon and become onshore Sunday. Onshore flow will gradually increase through Monday ahead of another cold front which will move through the coastal waters on Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected ahead of the front. A strong offshore flow will develop in the wake of this next front. |
