Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
A vigorous upper level storm system will move across the region this evening. This system will interact with abundant moisture to produce widespread light showers and isolated thunderstorms over the coastal waters. A strong surface low pressure area in south Texas responsible for the strong northeast wind flow will move into the Gulf of Mexico this evening. A strong offshore flow will develop in its wake tonight which will persist through Saturday morning. The offshore flow will decrease Saturday afternoon and become onshore Sunday. Onshore flow will gradually increase through Monday ahead of another cold front which will move through the coastal waters on Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected ahead of the front. A strong offshore flow will develop in the wake of this next front.

Northeast wind 20 to 25 knots this evening becoming west. Northwest wind 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Seas 8 to 10 feet subsiding to 6 to 8 feet after midnight. Scattered showers in the evening. A slight chance of thunderstorms. A slight chance of showers after midnight.
Saturday
Northwest wind 15 to 20 knots becoming north 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 6 to 8 feet.
Saturday Night
Northeast wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet subsiding to 3 to 4 feet after midnight.
Sunday
Northeast wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.
Sunday Night
Southeast wind around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.
Monday
Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots becoming south 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Tuesday
Southeast wind 20 to 25 knots shifting north. Seas 5 to 7 feet. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
