Synopsis Sw Pass Mississippi River To Atchafalaya River-
Synopsis
A strengthening pressure gradient between high pressure over the eastern Seaboard of the United States and lower pressures over southern Gulf of Mexico. Tropical Storm Ida in the western Caribbean Sea will be moving north into the southern Gulf of Mexico late Sunday and tighten the gradient to support near gale force winds and gale gusts across the north Gulf from late Sunday night through Monday morning. A cold front is expected to sweep across the north Gulf and absorb Tropical Storm Ida in the east- central Gulf Tuesday. Strong winds and rough seas can be expected through Wednesday before improving gradually Wednesday night. Refer to the latest advisories issued by the National Hurricane Center regarding Tropical Storm Ida.
