 Flood Warning  Statement as of 9:00 am CDT on September 07, 2008


The Flood Warning continues for
the Ouachita River at Thatcher lock and dam near Calion.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 am Sunday the water elevation was 85.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood elevation is 79.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 90.0 feet by
Saturday September 13th. Local drainage problems at Calion Lake
and access to oil rigs in the river bottoms will be by boat.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ouachita River at Camden.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 am Sunday the stage was 36.5 feet and rising.
* Moderate flooding is occurring. Crest tomorrow almost 3 feet
higher the April crest
* flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 39.0 feet by
tomorrow evening.
* Impacts... crest will be almost 3 feet higher than the April
crest.
