Marine Weather

Synopsis For The Suwannee River To Destin Out To 60 Nm
Synopsis
Moderate east northeast winds with higher gusts will continue over the Gulf through the weekend and into next week as a complex weather pattern evolves over the Gulf. Although the details are unclear...the overall weather pattern will feature higher pressure over the mid Atlantic states and lower pressure over the Gulf...as Ida moves northward into the southern Gulf early next week as a tropical storm. The official National Hurricane Center forecast brings Ida into the eastern Gulf about 250 miles south of Panama City Florida by mid week...but as a weakening system that merges with a frontal system. Please monitor the latest advisories from the National Hurricane Center before making boating plans...as this marine forecast is sensitive to changes in the track and intensity forecast for Ida.
