2. Synoptic situation for 080000z Oct 08, to include regional





near-gale wind events and weather hazards.





A. West med: a low pressure system over the west Med with associated





fronts will produce mostly cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers and





variable winds. No high winds and no seas 12 ft (3.7m) or greater





are expected in the west Med.





B. Cent med: high pressure over the cent Med interacting with a





low pressure system over the west Med will produce partly to





mostly cloudy skies scattered rainshowers (for Melita and gabes) and





variable winds. No high winds and no seas 12 ft (3.7m) or greater





are expected in the cent Med.





C. East med: high pressure over the cent Med interacting with a





thermal trough situated over southern Turkey will produce partly





cloudy skies and northerly winds (10 to 15 kts for jason). No high





winds and no 12 ft seas (3.7m) or greater are expected in the





east Med.





D. Black sea: low pressure over ukraine will produce mostly cloudy





skies, rainshowers and westerly winds (20 to 25 kts). No high winds





and no seas 12 ft (3.7m) or greater are expected in the black sea.





E. Baltic sea: high pressure over sbalt will produce clear to





partly cloudy skies and light and variable winds. No high winds and





no seas 12 ft (3.7m) or greater are expected in the Baltic Sea.
